PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This incense tray embraces the combination of two materials with ideas of material reduction and aesthetics in mind. Divided into two zones, the sunken part of the tray catches the ash while the elevated zone features a sloped hole to hold your incense stick at the perfect angle.

A detailed and contemporary incense holder. This long piece is handmade from concrete and PLA. PLA, is a thermoplastic monomer derived from renewable, organic sources such as corn starch or sugar cane. Using biomass resources makes PLA production different from most plastics, which are produced using fossil fuels through the distillation and polymerization of petroleum.
